I am glad to see that you are at least not tracing your pictures anymore. I would further encourage you to develop your own style, as borderline images like this really make people doubt your real talent. From what I see, you don't need to copy anyone.

Thanks! I really appreciate your maturity on that issue, it was really, REALLY wrong of me and I'm glad that you were firm about it but didn't go so far as to be rude. Thanks.

I also appreciate the feedback for this, especially the crits! Could you elaborate a little more on how you feel this is "borderline?"

Well it is very reminiscent of the style chlorophyta used for a series of wolf sketches. I can tell that you admire her art (damn, she IS talented) but her style is unfortunately very recognisable and would only make you a chloro-clone. Nobody wants that! I think what brings this image down most is that it is a style you're obviously not comfortable with/don't understand the "rules" of yet. You already have a solid, unique style going and you should continue developing that. Trying new styles is what being an artist is all about, so get your foundation down and start branching out from there.
